ABERFELDY Whiskey Interactive Waterfall in Taiwan
On behalf of Glock Agency, I was asked to create an interactive animation of a stylized waterfall for the launch of a new Aberfeldy Single Malt whiskey pop up space at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. In front of the screen were 4 podiums each with an actual bottle of the ABERFELDY Single Malt 12 Year Cask Whisky. The waterfall in the video cascaded around the bottles as if they were actually in the scene behind. There was an interactive element if you picked up one of the bottles whereby the waterfall animation directly behind where the product had been positioned no longer simulated hitting it but simply fell unhindered as it would with nothing to break the stream. The flow would then be started again with the wake around the bottle the moment the product was replaced on the podium. This was achieved by loading alternate, layered video sections triggered by pressure sensors in the relevant podium. All of this was controlled using Watchout programming. Due to the distance of the installation, there was a remote controlled connection to the Watchout computer from the London office of Blitz should anything need to be tweaked or technical issues arise.
