Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards 2017
This brief was to create an opening sequence for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards 2017. The annual event takes place at the Natural History Museum and celebrates the very pinnacle of wildlife photography and so my source material was creatively exciting. I split all of the nominee photos into five groups based around the main colours found within the photos. Then in line with the Museum's graphic theming that year, created close crops of the high resolution pictures to make more abstract vertical content which was then animated in After Effects. I was also responsible for creating a dinner loop of nominee photos and the Awards presentation graphics in Keynote. It was crucial that the in-show photos were not altered, cropped or levels changed within Photoshop so they reflected total accuracy of the original photographer's work. The project culminated in me operating the show on the night.
